Introducing New Tools!

The Rockaway Youth Task Force uses social media as a megaphone to spotlight our day-to-day work. Over time, we have built a strong social media presence, amassing over 17,800 "likes" on Facebook. RYTF's Facebook page has the capacity to reach over 10,000 Rockaway residents with a single post.

To build upon RYTF's successful social media presence, we have created tools that will amplify the voices of likeminded individuals and institutions that work to transform our community. We are very excited to introduce the Rockaway Community Calendar and the Rockaway Youth Resource Guide.

We created the Rockaway Community Calendar to help increase the level of civil engagement of Rockaway residents. The Community Calendar lists community-wide events and meetings ranging from civic association meetings to Community Board so that residents can take an active role in shaping their community.

The Rockaway Youth Resource Guide will provide a comprehensive list of services available to youth and young adults who live within Rockaway. The resource guide is located on our website under the "Youth Resources" tab and will be available in print. The success of the resource guide is dependent on the input of the community. Please reach out to us if you have comments or suggestions for improving the resource guide. The Rockaway Youth Resource Guide was made possible through the support of New York City Council Member Donovan Richards.
