As part of the Take Care Rockaway Initiative, the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene have created this first of its kind resource guide, containing a service directory for outpatient services, immediate assistance services, and recreational care. The guide aims to make the process of asking for help and receiving mental health services in the Rockaways easier. Each social service listed in the resource directory contains a short description about the organization or resource, contact information, and some easy-to-follow steps of what to expect when you reach out.
